About The Event

The South Asian Americans in Public Service initiative is excited to host the second panel in its Racial Justice Speaker Series on Tuesday, August 18, 2020, at 6:00 PM E.T.

This event will feature South Asian American community members, public officials, and advocates who will speak about their work in public service and securing racial justice. All are welcome — bring your questions!

The speakers include Mayor Ravi Bhalla, a nationally-recognized mayor and the first in the United States who is a Sikh; Arati Kreibich, a researcher who launched a progressive campaign in New Jersey’s District 5; Mayor Sadaf Jaffer, the first female Muslim mayor in the United States; and Anita Malik, who is a former contender in Arizona’s 2020 Congressional races.
