The South Asian Americans in Public Service initiative is excited to host the first panel in its Racial Justice Speaker Series on Wednesday, July 29, 2020, at 6:00 PM E.T.
This event will feature South Asian American community members and public officials who have run or are currently running for a seat in Congress in 2020. The panelists will speak about their work in public service and securing racial justice. All are welcome — bring your questions!
The speakers include Kiran Sreepada, who is running as the Democratic candidate against Republican incumbent in Tennessee’s 7th Congressional District; former Senatorial candidate Usha Reddi, who serves as Mayor of Manhattan City, Kansas; and Rishi Kumar, who is currently the executive board member of the California Democratic Party and running for California’s 18th District.
